In this contemporary reinterpretation of Sattler’s famous panorama of Salzburg, the views  are partially hidden by a disintegrating selfie ghost and are then animated to create an easily shareable GIF.  The paintings are based on photographs taken by Tina Teufel standing on the same tower that Sattler used as his vantage point.

The city of Salzburg owes much of its reputation as a beautiful tourist destination to Johann Michael Sattler (1786-1847) who spent four years painting a (25.53 x 4.86 m) panoramic view of the city which he completed in 18929.
